This is the spectacular way on how people in Valencia (Spanish Mediterranean) celebrate welcoming spring. Check this video, when you think it is a crazy level of noise it’s just the beginning.

This morning I was looking to create an event in LinkedIn and couldn’t find how, so I went to the help and support page to find out that LinkedIn events are no longer available.

Of course they can do whatever they want and when they consider the best moment. But, what it’s curious to me is that before getting to know the shutdown I was looking the menu option, and after that I thought it was now for paying since I consider this to be a nice feature. Yes, I was ready to pay in case it was available. This is an example of how volatile business models are in social media.

Technology and IT Governance Layers are not that complicated to understand. IT Service Management is a layer over the infrastructure in order to understand the Services delivered by IT.

Cloud Computing is just infrastructure, it is hardware and software, where it is located is not that relevant for IT Service Management. Of course it’s important to know where they are, but it is just a matter of technology and geography.

IT Governance Layers

Stuart-Rance-Twitter

Recently Stuart Rance one of ITIL authors post an article asking the community to write guides added to ITIL for different technologies, including Cloud Computing and others like Social Media.

We cannot ignore Social Media or Cloud Computing or Big Data, but this will be to specific or too low level to ITIL and for IT Service Management.

Stand by me–globalization example

I was planning to use the title “The real globalization” but I understand this will be to pretentious. Globalization as you know is true fact, we are not waiting for it, but instead we have the mission to understand the rules.

I have found this video that gave me the best of globalization concept, what it matters at the end is when you find someone to stand by or somebody who will send for us.

Agriculture and Earth needs

There are that many things we ignore or situations we just take for granted. Everytime we go to the supermarket we have the opportunity to find that many options for food. Do we think where is this coming and what the real needs are.

This must watch video from Jonathan Foley explains the problem that already made the Colorado river to not bringing a drop of water into the sea.

We urgently need technology to build the next generation. Humans can die early from the lack of food than the climate change.

I saw the movie Invictus today, maybe for the fifth time, and have found that maybe I need to find time in my agenda to see the movie at least twice a month. Maybe we don’t have a job with the opportunity to transform that many people but we should think the type of influencer we are and how do we inspire others or how we get inspirations for ourselves.

I love my work, and I do love what I do professional and personal, but even then it is right to look for a piece of inspiration:

Invictus

Together with the main movie poem, it comes a song called “9000 days” making reference to the time Mandela spend in prison, he may use that time to plan his revenge but better he think to find a way to change, forgive and integrate.

Out of the night
that covers me
I’m Unafraid
I Believe
Beyond this place
of Wrath and Tears
Beyond Hours
that turn to years

I thank whatever
Whatever Gods may be
9000 days were set aside
9000 days of destiny
9000 days to thank Gods where ever they may be

It matters not the circumstance
to rise above
I took a chance
I thank whatever
Whatever Gods may be
9000 days were set aside
9000 days of destiny
9000 days to thank Gods where ever they may be

Oh~ Broken heart that turn to stone
Can break the land but mine is sore

9000 days were set aside
9000 days of destiny
9000 days to thank Gods where ever they may be

Just some hours ago NASA sent a new visitor to Mars. It looks like it will be easier to explore the Mars planet and look for life and ways of living, than curing our own planet and make live possible for the next centuries.

Here is the information from NASA previous to the launch explaining the journey and the reports expected:

I have been investigating what is a team. I was looking the definition because of a university job, and because the different needs I have in my job roles. So I constructed a definition that makes me feel comfortable, until now. This is a spot from the movie “Any given day” with Al Pacino. If you want you can move it forward to the minute 3:22.

Today is Earth day, I have found this video at The Wall Street Journal. It is a good moment to check the planet where we live. Good time too to keep the planet and to keep doing what is best to save the beatiful place we have.
